Window Shop at the Mall

We went to the mall the other day just to window shop the stand mixer that I want to buy this Christmas. The prices were not bad compared to what Dhemz said. She is the author of Savour D’ Flavour. She told me that stand mixer in the USA is around $300, while here in my tiny country; the branded stand mixer is only Php 3,500.00 or equivalent to $80.00. Shydub author of Blog Fusion told me also that her husband can’t afford to buy a stand mixer. Now I know why my friends don’t like to buy a stand mixer in their place. I know they can afford to buy this one but when they convert it to Philippine money that makes them think and stop from buying this stand mixer. They prefer to have a hand mixer because it is cheaper than the stand mixer.

I can't wait my mixer...

This is what I want for Christmas. I was so happy when my husband told me this afternoon that I can have my stand mixer this Christmas. I don’t have mixer that is why I can’t start learning my baking lesson lol. I really want to learn baking, making cookies or muffins but I don’t have mixer. My aunt has a mixer and I always borrow her mixer. I know mixer hand or stand has many uses. The last time I borrowed aunt mixer was when I made homemade Durian ice cream. If I have my mixer on hand, I will be busy in the kitchen. Perhaps I will make homemade ice cream again but not Durian flavor ice cream

Homemade Acne Treatment

Did you know that eating lemons and drinking lemon juice was an effective protection against a variety of poisons, and that recent research has confirmed this belief?

Did you know also that lemon is good for acne treatment, whitening underarm, cleaning the scalp especially if you have dandruff? Every time I went to the market, lemon is always on my list. My son loves fresh lemon juice than any other artificial juices and I am happy for that because I can save money. Lemon contains citric acid, which can be effective in treating acne. The vitamin C found in citrus fruits is vital for that healthy glowing skin while its alkaline nature kills some types of bacteria known to cause acne. In addition to drinking lemon juice with water first thing in the morning, here are some suggestions on how to prepare a homemade acne treatment using lemon:

• With your finger or a cotton ball, apply fresh lemon juice on acne and leave it overnight. Wash with water the following morning. There may be an uncomfortable sensation of burning at first, but it will soon disappear.
• Mix one part of freshly squeezed lemon juice with an equal part of rose or honey water. Put the mixture on affected areas for at least half an hour. Wash it afterwards with water. This application should be repeated twice daily, ideally in the morning and the evening.

Note: these remedies are safe and natural, but if acne is severe or there are open wounds, consult your doctor first.

Food on the table...

Yesterday I went to the grocery store just to buy something for dinner. I want something that is easy to cook or perhaps ready to cook food. I headed to a meat section and I saw a breaded pork chop. So, that was it, I bought breaded pork chop and fried it. I made a sauce for our fried breaded pork chop. Actually the price per piece was not bad so I was happy then because I save little money and little time for the dinner last night.
